Artist Profile
Brody Makua (student/reporter) is thrilled to make her return to the stage in Change the Game after a prolonged hiatus. She started in community theater at the age of five, performing in shows such as Bye Bye Birdie, Beauty and the Beast, Annie, and Seussical. Shortly after performing as Peter Pan in Peter Pan, she fell ill with a life-altering chronic health condition. Fortunately, three years ago after a series of health improvements, Brody was able to join Musyca children’s choir, where she recorded backup vocals for artists such as Mato Wayuhi and Snoop Dog and performed onstage at a number of venues, including a tour in Spain. She has also performed with an international choir at Carnegie Hall and the Sydney opera house. Thank you to Jon Bruschke for this opportunity and for reminding me why I love theater.
