Artist Profile
Mio Okada is a scenic designer, who recently graduated with an MFA in Theater Arts from California State University, Fullerton. Over the past few years, she has designed scenery for Urinetown, Street Scene, The Belle’s Strategem, She Kills Monsters, and Lady Susan at CSUF. She has also been an assistant scenic designer/drafter for Disney’s Frozen at Maltz Jupiter Theater and Disney’s The Little Mermaid at Drury Lane Theater. Mio is thrilled to join the Chance family for the production of Sweeney Todd this summer. She is very grateful to everyone in the production team for creating such a positive, supportive, and creative environment.
