Voices Veterans Storytelling Project
Voices – The Veterans Storytelling Project is presented by Arts Orange County in collaboration with Chance Theater, Heroes Hall Veterans Museum at OC Fair & Event Center and Veterans First. This program empowers veterans to use theater to talk about their experiences and help the community understand the life of a veteran.
Over the course of six weeks, veterans will participate in weekly workshops that will culminate in a public performance at Heroes Hall. At the workshops, participants will have the opportunity to hear stories of other veterans and learn how to shape their own stories so they can be shared with others. Stories for the project can be about life before military service, during service or afterward.
All workshop participants will then have the opportunity to tell their stories during an evening storytelling showcase which will be open to the public on Tuesday, May 23, at Heroes Hall. This will be the first performance hosted by Heroes Hall in its new Medal of Honor Plaza.
